Form 177: your company supports the foundation's education programmes at no extra cost — ANAF transfers to the foundation part of the profit tax the company owes anyway.
What you support
The redirected amount funds the educational work of the Plus for Education Foundation: its programmes for children, teachers and schools, including future editions of its projects, such as the Chess Cup for Education.
The foundation decides which programmes the amount goes to and sends you a report on how it was used. If you wish, your company is publicly recognised on this page.

Frequently asked questions
Does it cost the company anything?
No. The amount is part of the profit tax the company owes anyway: instead of all of it going to the state budget, ANAF transfers the redirected part to the foundation.
When is the form filed?
After the fiscal year ends: for the 2026 tax, between January 1, 2027 and June 25, 2027. We send you a reminder in January and another in June.
Why is a contract needed?
Form 177 asks for the number and date of the sponsorship contract with the beneficiary. The contract is signed online, before filing.
Who signs and files the form?
The company: its legal representative or a proxy registered with ANAF (usually the accountant), with a qualified certificate, on anaf.ro → Online services → Filing returns. The foundation does not file the form on the company's behalf.
What if the real amount is lower?
Correct the amounts on the sponsorship page and download the form again. The contract says the sponsorship is reduced to the amount ANAF actually transfers.
What does the foundation use the amount for?
For its education programmes, in line with its statute. The foundation decides the allocation and sends you a report on how it was used by 31 March of the year after it receives the amount.
Can we support the Chess Cup for Education this way?
Form 177 supports the foundation as a whole, including future editions of the cup. For the current edition, championship sponsorship is paid directly, on chess4edu.ro, because a redirected amount only arrives from ANAF in the summer of the following year.
What recognition does the company get?
The company name (and, optionally, its logo and a short presentation) on this page, in the section of companies supporting the foundation: from signing the contract until one year after the amount is transferred. The logo and presentation appear once approved.
Can I see the form before signing the contract?
Yes. In the form, after filling in the amounts, press "Simulate form 177": you get the official PDF with your figures, watermarked "SIMULARE". You can show it to your accountant. The form to file (no watermark, with the contract number and date) is downloaded after signing.
